Click4Assistance is a leading UK provider of technology allowing the ability of two or more parties to converse in real time using the Internet and its associated protocols. We are an application service provider (ASP) that offers the use of our technology to our customers and in turn their customers. Due to the technology involved we collect and store information on behalf of these customers, together with information collected through our own website and its associated products.
What information do we collect during account registration?
To use the solution an account must first be created with us. During this registration process your company contact details are taken and held against the account in question. This information is only for contact purposes while the actual account remains active.
What information do we collect during live assistance?
When a conversation starts between a visitor and a representative from a company using the Click4Assistance solution, various data is collected depending on how the chat window is configured.
This data can consist of gathered information before the conversation starts, for example, the visitor’s name and email address. During the conversation all correspondence sent between the parties involved is held on our systems. Once the conversation has ended this correspondence is deleted unless archived by the representative. After the conversation has ended the visitor can be asked to supply information for survey purposes (this is optional). This data is held if the conversation is archived.
